Educator Awards
This annual recognition program is aligned with the national ACTE awards program and promotes excellence in career and technical education by recognizing individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the field and programs that exemplify the highest standards. Winners advance to represent Texas in the Region IV ACTE awards program. Region IV winners advance to the national ACTE award program level.
Award applications are due June 1st, 2012. Access award information to review all award opportunities and basic requirements.
Administrator of the Year
- Each area can nominate one CTAT member.
- The award nominee must have been a member of CTAT and ACTE for five consecutive years and be a paid member for the current year.
- Administrator of the Year Award nomination form and procedures are available for download.
- A digital photograph of the award nominee must be included with the application.
- Each area submitting an Administrator of the Year nominee must provide an area member to serve on the award interview team.
- Award interview team members will review the application information provided by each area nominee.
- Administrator of the Year nominees will be interviewed at the Texas Career Education Conference.
- The area nominee will be informed by the awards committee co-chair of the date and time of the interview.
- Nominees must make arrangements to be at the CTAT summer conference at the designated interview time.
Guidance Educator of the Year
- Each area can nominate one, or more, CTAT Guidance Division members.
- The award nominee must have been a member of CTAT (or formerly member of TCTGA) and ACTE for three consecutive years and be a paid member for the current year.
- The Outstanding Guidance Educator of the Year nomination form and procedures are available for download.
- A digital photograph of the award nominee must be included with the application.
- Award committee members will review the nomination forms provided by each area.
- No interview is required for Outstanding Guidance Educator of the Year nominees.
