Professional growth. A voice of change. Ensuring that our students are ready. That’s what CTAT is about.

The members of the Career and Technology Association of Texas are a diverse group that shares a common goal — preparing students for the high-tech, high-skill careers of the 21st century.

Career opportunities in advanced technologies and manufacturing, biotech, energy, aerospace and other exciting sectors require a workforce that is educated, prepared, adaptable, and ready to compete. It also requires education professionals who are up-to-date on education and workforce techniques, trends and theories.

To help ensure success, counselors, administrators and educators at the high school through college levels, as well business and industry leaders are united in their efforts to:

  • Improve CTE by enhancing their roles through professional development.
  • Work year-round with education policymakers and organizations to effect change.
  • Work diligently to increase public awareness that CTE is not the vocational training of yesterday.
  • Align with the national Association of Technical Education (ACTE) to advance CTE.
